VET - Vocational Educational Training

VET in the VCE or VCAL allows students to include vocational studies within their senior secondary certificate. Students undertake nationally recognised training from either accredited state curriculum or national training packages which may contribute to their VCE and/or VCAL.

VET in Schools (VETiS) combines VCE studies with Vocational Education and Training (VET) units.  This means students can combine classroom learning with structured on-the-job training. On successful completion of a VETiS program, students receive a nationally recognised industry recognised certificate alongside their VCE, therefore contributing to their VCE ATAR.

Talking Transition Workshop

Thursday 14 November 2019

Two Parent Sessions:
Afternoon Session - 1pm-2.30pm
Evening Session - 7pm -8.30pm

Senior School Building - I - Room I1.18

                       Book Now
This workshop is presented by the Youth and Family Centre Counselling Team.  The workshop will provide a forum for parents to identify transition concerns and discuss strategies for helping their child manage the move from primary to secondary school. Parents will have the opportunity to share experiences of their own transitions and meet other parents. Parents will also meet key support staff at Aquinas College. Overall, the workshop will assist parents with preparing themselves and their child for the transition to secondary school.
Please be aware that the workshop is targeted at parents and caregivers only and not for students.  Your child will be involved in their own transition activities on Orientation Day and in their first few weeks of school next year.
The workshop will take place in the “I” or Senior Building in I1.18 (what does I1.18 mean? - the first letter denotes the building, the number next to the letter reveals the floor that the room is on and the number after the full stop is the room number, so- building I, floor 1, room 18)
